Jade wanted a vintage inspired wedding makeup; 1920’s chocolate bronze smokey eye and bold red lip. Her gorgeous skin was prepped with a poly hydroxy acid creamy cleanser, hydrated with Embryolisse with foundation by Makeup International.

I was also asked to do natural and modern mature makeups for Mother of the Bride, Desree and Mother of the Groom, Celia. Amazing Bridesmaids Sooz and Clare were also treated to a pretty individual bridesmaid makeup. All were a total joy to work on!
For Jade’s 1920’s vintage inspired makeup look I used Face2 Face by Make Up International Foundations, Clarins and Embryolisse Skin care, No7 Blusher Powders, Clinique Mascaras and Nars Kalahari Eyeshadow Palette. For the Bridal party I used No7 Eyeshadows, No7 and Kryolan Lipsticks, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish and Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows.

The day was so genuinely beautiful I welled up when photographer Laura McCluskey unveiled these. Jade, Des and I had created a beautiful client/ artist relationship with a couple of trials in West London it was very hard not to feel emotionally attached to the whole day.

Des, Jade’s Mum was so absolutely lovely through the whole process, being a constructive member of the Bridal party as well as being ‘a Mum’ to not only Jade but at times me! The whole family rallied round in the morning making salmon and cream cheese bagels ( my new favourite breakfast! ) for everyone to grab and go, putting on some Dolly Parton to wave my brushes to whilst photos were being taken and re filling cups of fabulous coffee ( champers for the Bridal party).
