Lucy explained what she wanted for her perfect bridal hair and make up look, Brigitte Bardot and Jean Shrimpton being her wedding day style icons. We gave her a sculpted cut crease, very sixties in shape but neutral in colour, with a strong flick and lots of lashes for her trial.
Lucy’s gorgeous Mumma opted for a thorough cleanse, facial massage and eye masks to obliterate any tired, dry eyes. To compliment I gave her a subtle smokey eye with taupe and mink shades, lots of black mascara to make her eyes pop and restructured and re built her eyebrows. I did this using mixed textures of Chantecaille eyebrow pencil, Bobbi Brown eyeshadow and varied shading techniques.
Check out that beehive! As it was such a damp day, I had to re set Lucy’s hair into tighter waves post beehive do. We also used Mark Hill’s blow dry and anti humidity spray and L’Oreal and Schwarzkopf styling and hair sprays in varying strength to set. I made sure there was LOTS of stiff volume in the beehive as the weather was less than ideal and I also wanted to make sure the head dress and veil had something secure to be pinned to. Veils and headdresses can often have to sustain hugs, various amounts of love, weather and then be taken out properly.
