‘The concept at the heart of this shoot was a celebration of intimacy- that complicity that only hundreds of whispered conversations can bring.’
‘We wanted to create an inspirational editorial for couples considering an elopement in the city, and to show that it need not be any less impactful, heartfelt, or full of beauty. Our couple is modern, stylish, and unapologetic; they are connoisseurs of the finer things in life, but value emotions, experience, and memories above all else. This translated into styling our boutique hotel nestled in the columned streets of Pimlico with a muted palette of greys, neutrals, and pale mauves, with the fierce femininity of a bride who knows who she is. We took inspiration from trends in interior design to create a chic wedding aesthetic that, while paying homage to traditions, revels in the freedom that couples have in designing a day that truly reflects them and their values.’ – Valentina Ring, The Stars Inside
With every stylish detail perfectly in place for their posh looks, these two headed into the ceremony – trust us when we say the details are about to get even better!
Our Bride’s skin was cleansed gently with sweeping, uplifting motions with Exuviance’s Gentle Cleansing Cream. I used a soaked and squeezed dry reusable cotton square to gently buff the product away from the centre of the face, counting down the neck. After spritzing with rose water and wiping the product away again I moisturised with Healgel Intensive and Embryolisse Cream Concentrate patting small amounts of the product all over the face and ending with a firming awakening massage to stimulate collagen production and blood flow. Our lovely lady had a gluten sensitivity ( Lush Dream cream’s main ingredient is oat milk ) so I couldn’t use that which I usually love to inject life into tired winter skin. I wanted her to look seductive and elegant but maintain a very modern element. Nothing over the top, nothing cakey. Glorious skin was achieved with Bare Minerals BarePro foundation and Cover Fx’s contour palette. Blemishes were covered with Dermacolour correctors and Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer
Jouer Cosmetics Essential Mattes and Shimmers palette and Barry M’s loose pigments were swept over the eyes to create subtle drama and false cluster lashes were added for intensity. Lips were kept kissable with plenty of lip balm during prep and a nude lipgloss by Essence to finish.
