Thank you, Kylie. Thank you for everything yesterday. You were fantastic all day!! We all looked and more importantly, felt beautiful! And thank you so much for staying to touch up. You worked wonders and all my fears came to nothing. Thank you xxx
My darling Caroline found me through her wonderful sister in law, Alana. We met at The Dorsett Hotel in Shepherds Bush and drank wine and discussed her beautiful wedding which was to take place at several gorgeous venues near Oxford, prep at Le Belmond aux Quat’Saisons, St Mary Magdalene Church and onto the incredible and breathtaking Blenheim Palace for a champagne reception, dinner and dancing.
Caroline’s main concern for her wedding day was the reactive redness, down to possible allergies and public speaking’ type situations. Caroline also had sensitive skin prone to oil breakouts.
During Caroline’s trial we tried the beautiful Kiehl’s BB Cream which colour corrects and upped the coverage across her nose and cheeks- the redness culprits; with Cover Fx’s Custom Cover Drops Foundation. Luckily Caroline was otherwise flawless so we didn’t need to actively conceal spots or blemishes.
On the day, I prepped with Kiehl’s BB as before and used Cover Fx as before. On parts that I knew would need calming further, I used Dermacolour colour correcting tattoo camouflage concealer.
The rest of her look was a sophisticated match made in Palace heaven! We used a peachy blusher mixed with highlighter and bronzers to compliment her skin, we lined her eyes and smudged out the edges and painted her lids with champagne and peach tones, again to counteract any redness in an elegant way. A nude lipstick and some epically beautiful romantic waves set off her Phillipa Lepley gown perfectly.
Caroline’s bridesmaids were three wonderful ladies, Claire had super frizzy thick hair. We calmed that down with straightening products and heat to set. I gave her a French plait it to keep it out of her face and out of the way of a rambunctious pair of kiddies. I added a fresh layer of colour correcting makeup as she wasn’t used to wearing any. Alana and Leesa opted for super glamorous waves. I gave them similar makeup looks as they loved the same things, adjusted for colouring in skin tone- Leesa being South East Asian and Alana being Irish. Leesa’s coverage was Bobbi Brown and Alana’s a mixture of Bobbi Brown Tinted moisturiser and layering Dermacolour with Kryolan and Bare Minerals powders to treat an awful hormonal breakout on her chin.
Look at those waves! Leesa deep in concentration doing up that exquisite gown.
Isn’t she just captivating!?
Caroline’s beautiful Mumma Elaine was given a soft bronzed look. She loved blue eye shadow so we gave her a timeless combination of taupes, minks and a blue- brown eyeliner. Curling her lashes made such an incredible difference too, really opening up her hooded eyes. Her mid length hair was blow dried and set into rollers to give her the volume she wanted.
Incredible confetti shots. All wonderful photography courtesy of Kate Hopewell Smith who is an absolute diamond- who let me choose about 50 photographs to show you all (!)
So much love between these two ♡
