Carly and I have known each other a LONG time. Our Mums started working together when I was 11 and they’ve been best friends since. When Carly started to look for a wedding hair and makeup artist she decided she couldn’t trust anyone but me to do it. We held both her trials at my home in Hampton Court where we experimented with a bridal plait knot and glowy skin.
Originally Carly wanted her hair in a half up half down style. We tried a Bardot inspired version during her first trial and as lovely as it was we decided it was hiding so much of her face and would hide a lot of her dress. We then tried it up in a bun with various finishes. By the second trial she bought her daughter along to help her decide. This chic, bridal plait knot won 🙂
Carly’s a fan of eyeliner so we used some subtle shimmers, neutral eye contouring to shape and finished with lining around her lashes. We built up volume with some natural cluster lashes to really make her blue eyes pop.
Beautiful little Lily had a french plait, inspired by her Mum’s gorgeous and chic plait knot chignon.
Carly’s bridal party were also treated to services, maid of honour Becky had a blow dry and hair set into elegant, sexy waves. Daughter Lily had a lovely french plait to keep her hair of her face when she played during the day and a flower crown. Jan, Carly’s wonderful Mum had a full on skincare pamper; bespoke exfoliation, scar coverage, bronze glow. We also used some neutrals on her eyes to help them pop and finished with a tinted lip balm.
How beautiful is this couple?!
