Alexandria of Alexandria Events wrote to me last Autumn and asked if I wanted to be part of this absolutely gorgeous shoot. The idea of a copper and blue, modern and eclectic aesthetic really appealed to me. It gave me a chance to show off some copper smokey eye tones and textures and deep red lip.
It was important to keep the makeup and hair feminine but edgy. A smoky eye using antique golds, dirty coppers and enhanced with chocolate tones were used to compliment the glass ware used by Westwood Design, opulent tones being the order of the day. I wanted Ana’s hair off her face not only to showcase her naturally gorgeous skin and make up look but also to be able to see the beautiful dresses by Emma Hunt London. I decided on a low, loose plait style, dishevelling as I went along. Soft, voluminous but undone and almost Edwardian to echo Emma’s gown.
Incredible foliage and flora designed by Westwood Designs. Aren’t these images exquisite? They remind me of a Victorian postcard.
The texture in Ana’s hair, created by me is showcased beautifully in these shot by Daria and Marek at Plenty to Declare.
Delicious menu courtesy of Delicieux Cakes. We couldn’t stop staring at this brownie and caramel combination!
Gold stationary can often look super feminine, Eagle Eyed Bride made sure the stationery had a masculine edge, classy and quirky without being garish or sickly.
A dark red lip was introduced to take the look into ‘the evening’. Something my brides often do, start with a nude lip, a ‘day look’ and as the partying starts progress to something darker, more seductive and sultry. I added fresh rose petals to Ana’s hair to create more of a sense of opulence without using jewels or sparkle. Perfect for Bohemian style brides that want to add sophistication and something elegantly different to their look.
