Fran and I met over cocktails on the Southbank early this year. I’d come highly recommended by Lisa Jane their epic wedding photographer to help her rock a potential red lip and floral crown with fresh glowing natural skin.
Fran’s trial was one of those that literally went perfectly the first time round. This year has been an interesting one with ladies that are overwhelmed with choice they initially choose something that isn’t them, but from our meeting Fran knew exactly what she wanted and I adored that about her.
Flower Girls and their all important crowns and sparkle.
How excited is Fran to have this mahoosive crown on her head!? This epic creation was by Rebel Rebel and whilst it was a challenge to secure onto Fran’s head because it was so heavy, it did not disappoint once it was on! I have it on good authority it lasted well into the night 😉
During Fran’s trial I prepped and ran heat through her hair with Bumble and Bumble’s vitamin spray, and L’Oreal’s Curl Spray. We straightened bits into an S shape and tonged others with a barrel. I added VO5 thickening powder at the roots for volume and Bumble and Bumble’s dream cream from the mid length downwards for texture.
Got to get those angles in for that perfect red lip!
Fran wanted a warm- tan wash over her eyes and super subtle definition blended into her lashes. We ended up using eye liner for just a smudge more definition as I thought with the crown and the lip her eyes may get a little lost.
Her complexion was complimented with Uber Beige pot rouge by Bobbi Brown which doubled as a blusher and bronzer and a Makeup Forever Blush in a pinkier tone to lift. Her cheeks were adorned with Cover Fx’s customer cover drops in Moon Light for a subtle sheen.
I was also entrusted with helping the bridesmaids look gorgeous. We did some lush waves, half ups with plaits and simple chignons for ladies that don’t usually do anything with their hair. They felt suitably glamorous with coppery and taupe eye makeup and plenty of mascara. Fran’s Mum wanted to keep everything natural so we teamed a wash of shimmery mink pigment on her eyes with glowing mauve-pink cheeks and a pink lip.
Epic confetti shots, I couldn’t pick just one.
So much genuine, unadulterated, infatuated, trusting love.
Bridesmaids GOALS. These epic looking ladies ran around after Fran all morning in the most chilled out way. A couple of them ordered breakfast for us- Maccy D’s ( seriously, I told you, GOALS ) and went to pick it up, others tidied the space and the rest made tea. A super chilled, coffee and hash brown filled morning with laid back tunes. The perfect pre wedding environment.
So many lush snuggles…
And neck nuzzles…
You know those moments where you are SO SO chuffed you have a steady hand and your bride wants to rock a bold lip? Yeah, that. Fran wears Hourglass Lip Opaque Rouge in Raven. The very same I wore on my own wedding day.
Big love to Fran, her beau and Lisa Jane Photography for letting me have so many of their photos to share with you all.
