Louise got married last Winter to her beau at The Town Hall Hotel in East London. Pre wedding we met in town and chatted about her love for mixing a glamorous vintage wedding make up look with modern elegance.
We experimented during her trial with a modern deconstructed marcel wave and a full on 1920’s headpiece. Louise decided that actually she didn’t want to go as vintage flapper girl as that so we went for a side swept waved do, finished with a beautiful crystal headpiece and silk veil. This echoed her day to day look of having her hair off her face but with a romantic, sexy and glamorous twist.
Making the most of Louise’s gorgeous skin, I used Clarins’ BB Cream as a base, and covered any blemishes with Dermablend and Dermacolour, setting with a tiny bit of powder foundation. During her trial we experimented with a bold red lip but Louise decided she actually wanted something classic and with easier wearing and kissing ability! We added oomph with lots of individual cluster lashes and enhanced her eyes and the winter evening light with illuminators and gold sparkle on the lids.
A lot of family, friend and Artist team work went into getting that beautiful gown on Louise! I LOVE her reaction in this photo. I believe we were asking her to suck everything in, her mum did the gown up and myself and her Bridesmaid were structural support!
I adore this photo. Thanks so much to Emma Lawson for sharing them with us.
