Like pretty much all of my Brides, Polly came to me because she didn’t want to look too ‘done’. Fitting in Polly’s trials between her living in Singapore and popping home to Kent for fittings was surprisingly convenient.
After trying some slightly gothic and ethereal looks we headed in a completely different direction and chose something healthy and bronzed, making the most of her Ex- Pat Singapore tan!
After witnessing Polly’s trials and striking up a fabulous relationship Helen ( Mother of The Groom) and Geri ( Mother of The Bride) decided they wanted pampering on the day too. Helen with hair and makeup and Geri with some skin grooming and softly smouldered eyes.
On Polly’s first hair trial she was keen to try some 1920’s pin curls tapering round the side of her head. After wearing them for a day she decided they weren’t quite right for her. We settled on a voluminous but super natural blow dry, making the most of her gorgeous thick auburn bob.
Helen had a bespoke head piece made for the occasion which complemented her french roll perfectly.
Isn’t this picture stunning? I do love an intimate portrait of Mother of the Bride helping the Bride get ready.
The lengths I go to! Photographer Hannah Mia took this photo as I was stood on a chair back combing Polly’s crown ready for her head piece and floor length (!) veil. She chose a beautiful headpiece, the veil complimented her look perfectly.
And once again my favourite is at the end.
