It’s not very often I exhibit at a wedding fair. In fact, other than Landmark I’ve only ever exhibited twice. After so many years in retail I find them MEGA awkward having to just sort of stand there, showcasing my wares and hope someone wants to talk to me about my work. So this year I vowed that that things would be different. Beautiful and different.
Everyone at the fair was super duper lovely. My stand was next to Azra’s Attic, Smooch and Classic Car Hire.
These epic light signs were by Locke and Busby.
The make up looks I did for the models were focused on gorgeous sparkly eyes to shine from the stage and glowing skin.
For Charlie’s look I combined Nars’ Cordura palette with dusty slate sparkles by Bobbi Brown. Charlie’s skin was absolutely yummy so I simply enhanced with a light dewy foundation and complimenting bronze colours on her cheeks using Make Up Forever’s Rosewood and Sienna. I highlighted Cover Fx’s Custom enhancer drops.
I stuck to greys and dark browns for our model from Boa Boutique. Again, skin was kept super fresh and glowing. A facial massage for all three plumped and hydrated letting it do it’s own thing. I wanted freckles to stand out so I enhanced with a light dusting of Bobbi Brown’s Antigua all over the face, Nude by Nature’s contour cream and Bobbi Brown’s Uber Beige.
Our final beautiful model was from The Dress Bridal. Dana had the most ethereal glow to her. Almost otherworldly. She reminded me of a translucent muse from a Waterhouse or Millais painting. After concealing blemishes I truly didn’t want to do much else as I wanted everyone to just see ‘ Her’. I used Kiko’s pigment in Taupe as a dusting on her lids, Nude by Nature’s contour cream and Make Up Forever’s Blush in Sienna. I finished with Cover Fx’s Moonlight and a slick of nude lipgloss and balm.
What do you think? Would you want make up looks like this for your day?
With massive thanks to Randolph Wilcox for sharing his photos of the event.
