The X Factor star Lucie Jones has married fellow contender Ethan Boroian in a beautiful ceremony exclusively covered by Hello! magazine. Dressed in an ivory tulle gown by Charlotte Balbier, West End star Lucie and Ethan – who first met when they both auditioned for the show in 2009 – exchanged vows in South Wales, making it the first official X Factor wedding.
This wedding make up is a particularly special one for me. Not just because it’s my first Celebrity wedding make up but because Lucie and I have worked together for some time now on red carpet events ( Me Before You), personal music performances ( The Graham Norton Show ) and now, her wedding day. It’s almost like we’ve come full circle! Lucie and her wonderful husband Ethan held their ceremony in her native Wales, first at her local church with celebrations at Miskin Manor. Although for red carpet events and performances we’ve gone for dramatic looks Lucie wanted to keep her wedding day look classic, fresh and super pretty.
I’ve been using HealGel on Lucie’s face for sometime, it’s an amazing super specialist skincare brand based in London. It’s super lightweight and nourishing and provides the perfect base for photo ready make up. They were kind enough to provide me with the serum. After a massage with Intensive serum I added a relaxing eye mask, an must have for any crazy- beautiful wedding morning! For a smooth, lightweight oil free base, as with all of Lucie’s wedding make up I used Bobbi Brown. Tinted moisturiser mixed with the BB cream provided a perfect colour match and the exact consistency and coverage I wanted. Peach and pink tones and illuminators perfected a radiant look on both her eyes and cheeks. A natural flushed pink lip gloss finished the look.
