Jean dropped me an email asking if I could lend my services for her and her Bridal party so I packed up my kit and headed to her beautifully quirky and grown up abode in south east London for a trial. She wanted something classy, modern, elegant and fuss free. No tiaras, no veil. She had a most beautiful Jesus Peiro gown purchased from her sister in law’s boutique and didn’t want to overcomplicate things.
We experimented a little with Jean’s hair but she decided she preferred it and was more comfortable in it’s usual style with some Kylie style Ommphh ( a damn good blow dry and finish using Bumble and Bumble products). She also wanted a red lip that wasn’t too out there or over done.
Jean also put me in charge of Mrs Ward Senior. It was a total pleasure working with such a coiffed seasoned pro. I don’t think I’ve ever had a client sit so obediently and still whilst I put mascara on her! When I saw her complete outfit she made a beautifully sophisticated Mother of the Bride.
I also had the privilege of working with Jo ( Maid of Honour) and her daughter, the stunning Lizzie. Jo had skin that was in need of some colour correcting and TLC. Years of sun worshipping had left parts of her face discoloured, she was thrilled that I had managed to cover it up subtly and with minimal product.
I was so totally thrilled to be able to work with Laura McCluskey again. She recommended my work and I am so glad she did. Laura is so incredibly talented and captures moments so beautifully.
As always I have saved what I think are the best and most intimate couple moments until last… Enjoy.
