My beautiful Priya! I met Priya on a warm but breezy day at a pub in Hampton Court/ Thames Ditton. We chatted about her plans to her beau which involved a Catholic church ceremony followed by a colour filled reception at Hampton Court Palace. She would need a soft look in the morning that would transition with minimal effort to the evening celebrations.
Priya’s first trial was interesting because almost every idea she had regarding her wedding look just didn’t compliment her beautiful features. After various questions about her skin care and the finish that she wanted I also didn’t nail her base first time. I’m very particular! The first time we used Bobbi Brown’s foundation and Embryolisse as Priya’s skin was quite dry, but the oil shone through before she left my house. For her second trial we used Bare Minerals’ Bare Pro and powder foundation.
We went back to the drawing board and decided to change the colours we used on her eyes, substituting an ageing, very heavy black and gold option for light and sparkly pearly shades by Barry M and neutral definition via Viseart. For her change in the evening I blended out the pale, pearl colours and intensified with deep rose golds again from Viseart, coppers from Barry M and dark chocolate browns by Nars to go with that stunning red Indian sari.
Priya’s hair during her first trial was set into waves, which she loved but she wanted to experiment with having it in a low chignon. It just didn’t suit her. We brushed the waves out and for her second trial we set the hair into waves and also experimented with pulling the sides back which she wanted for her Indian reception at the Palace. I used Aveda’s Curling cream with Loreal’s Curl Spray. We calmed down any frizz with IGK Hair’s Leave in conditioner.
How gorgeous is Priya’s Mumma?! Such a graceful and elegant lady.
Yes! Confetti! All the confetti!
After this beautiful ceremony Priya popped back to the hotel and we changed her hair, gently rolling the sides back to incorporate her gorgeous tikka and show off her amazing earrings.
You’ve got to love a bridal portrait on the King’s Staircase.
So much love.
