Jade wanted a heavily Vintage inspired look, Marcel Waves and sexy red pout.
I was also asked to work my magic on Desree ( Mother of The Bride), Celia ( Mother of The Handsome Groom) , Sooz and Clare ( Bridesmaids). All were a total joy to work on!
You can never have too many lashes.
For Jade’s look I used Face2 Face by Make Up International Foundations, Clarins and Embryolisse Skin care, No7 Blusher Powders, Clinique Mascaras and Nars Kalahari Eyeshadow Palette. For the Bridal party I used No7 Eyeshadows, No7 and Kryolan Lipsticks, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish and Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows.
The day was so genuinely beautiful I welled up when photographer Laura McCluskey unveiled these. Jade, Des and I had created a beautiful client/ artist relationship with a couple of trials and visits it was very hard not to feel emotionally attached to the whole day.
Des, Jade’s Mum was so absolutely lovely through the whole process, being a constructive member of the Bridal party as well as being ‘a Mum’ to not only Jade but at times me! The whole family rallied round in the morning making salmon and cream cheese bagels ( my new favourite breakfast- posh… me? ) for everyone to grab and go, putting on some Dolly Parton to wave my brushes to whilst photos were being taken and re filling cups of fabulous coffee ( champers for the Bridal party).
And I have saved my absolute favourite two until last… ( tears and goosebumps)
